Im back with part 2 of Sara + Jeremy’s wedding post at the Kaaterskill Inn in Catskill. We will start right out with the formal pictures. I use formal very loosely here! Sara and Jeremy were so easy going and laid back and really were up for anything. As I mentioned before, I definitely dragged them into the woods and told them to ignore the pile of trash that was on the side of the path. :-) To this day these are some of my favorite images I have ever gotten.

Sara changed into an antique lace jacket from one of her family members and it was just made for her. I cannot even stand how perfect they looked. The one image Sara requested was an “American Gothic” shot. The best part is that we couldnt remember exactly how it looked, so we were in the woods trying to frantically google it! Gave us a good laugh. My request for the day was to get on the old dock. We both got what we wanted! :-)

One of my absolute FAVORITE things about this wedding was the amount of detail everything was given. Sara and Jeremy worked very hard to make this wedding perfectly them. They made the signs, the seating “cards”, and even the wooden boxes filled with succulents and the table numbers for each one. They collected old jars and cans for flowers and even printed up poster sized images of their grandparents wedding pictures that adorned the walls. Everywhere I looked there was something else to shoot. It was amazing.

Soon it was time to party. And let me tell you….did they ever party!!! Hands down one of the most fun filled receptions ever. (Special shoutout to the handsome man in the sunglasses in the first picture below….my awesome brother, Christopher!)

And you know its a crazy wedding when people start doing handstands and walking!!!

And they partied on into the night…

Thank you so so so much for having me as a part of your day. It was amazing!

There is one word to describe Sara + Jeremy’s wedding at The Kaaterskill Inn in Catskill: AMAZING. They had the most spectacular DIY wedding ever. Every single detail of the day was so perfectly them. They had a picture perfect October day and I can honestly say that I had just as much fun shooting their wedding as I would have if I were there as a guest. Alayne from Make Me Fabulous did a spectacular job with Sara’s hair and makeup. I was so obsessed with the beautiful succulents in her hair that I couldn’t stop taking pictures of how gorgeous it was.

I could go on and on about how sweet the girls were and how much fun I had hanging out with them before the wedding and how great the guys were to work with. I could talk for hours for how amazing Sara + Jeremy are and how they were up for anything that day…including letting me trudge them into the woods! But instead, I will just let the images speak for me.

Special thanks to Heather for rocking second shooter duty for me!

Stay tuned tomorrow for part 2!

Happy 2013! 2012 was such an amazing year for me and I am looking forward to what is shaping up to be unbelievably awesome. 2012 was my first full year of weddings and they are by far my favorite, favorite thing to shoot.

I am so happy to bring you ANOTHER great wedding. I have to tell you, I am so lucky to have such great clients. Jocelyn + Jeremy were a blast to work with. You might remember them from their gorgeous engagement shoot at the Barns of Nipmoose. They had a beautiful October evening for their wedding at one of my favorite venues, The Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake. If you are looking for a venue…check it out…Janice and Stephanie will take great care of you!

Jocelyn and her girls were chilling out in the bride’s room and having a great time. No nerves for this bride! Once the boys arrived, they had a first look and then it was time to walk down the aisle!

Check out their day!

I had to end with that one! Jocelyn + Jeremy, I had the best time with you guys! Thank you so much for trusting me with your day!

Love,
Tara

I have known Brian…well, all of his life. My mom and his mom were best of friends growing up and they were both pregnant with us at the same time. We went to nursery school together and high school as well. One of my earliest memories is coloring at his house as a matter of fact! So to be able to capture his wedding to one of the sweetest girls ever meant so much to me.

Brian and Nichole got married last month at Liberty Ridge Farms in Schagticoke and I cannot even begin to tell you what a great time I had with them! I can easily say that they are one of the most in love, most perfectly made for each other couples that I have met in my whole life.

Nichole says, “I love his smile, his warmth. Brian is a singer and guitar player, I admire his skill. He is a willing helper and a great partner. He has a forgiving nature and doesn’t take it personally when I am having a ‘moment’ I highly admire Brian’s work ethic, as a first year teacher I had the opportunity to watch him lesson plan, interact with students and administrators, he simply goes above and beyond.”

Brian says, “I love Nichole’s endless positive energy. I love her outgoing personality. She will engage anyone in conversation, and she makes friends faster than anyone I know. I love how she is so often a rose in the midst of a field of grass. She is beautiful, and she stands out, and this is true everywhere we go. I love how welcoming she is. I’m excited to start a family with her, because she shows me every day that she will provide a strong basis for our family.”

They are just absolutely perfectly made for one another. So here we go!

Their first look was just amazing to watch. And PS: I might have cried through their ceremony. Because that is how I roll!

I seriously could have shot these 2 all day long. They made my job SO. EASY. Happy and laid back all day. I mean…they even played some cornhole and ladder golf at the reception!!

I adore you both. Im so so lucky to have been a part of your day! <3 (Now make a sweet baby so I can take your picture again!)
